As Scotland prepares to introduce social media restrictions for under 16s, we will hear from young people in Australia and Scotland discussing their experiences, concerns and perspectives regarding these restrictions and the impact, both potential and actual, on their lives.
We will also hear from researchers who have been evaluating the impact of the legislation in Australia and what we can learn from them and their findings, as we look towards similar legislation coming into force in Scotland in early 2027.
This event will be a unique opportunity to hear a diverse set of voices from Scotland and Australia, to understand the landscape more fully with regards this legislation and its implications for young people in Scotland.
