During the academic year 2021/22 Moray House is piloting an exciting new Edinburgh Award for students on Initial Teacher Education programmes and related MSc programmes. This award, the ‘Digital and Data Champions in Education’ Edinburgh Award, is designed to offer student teachers the opportunities to gain data and digital skills, literacies and pedagogies by engaging with ways to develop, try out and reflect on classroom practices that make use of digital and data approaches.
This Award is open to everyone (primary, secondary and across curriculum subject areas) with no prior skills or experience in the field of digital or data required. The aim is to support students to identify their personal development needs in line with The University of Edinburgh Graduate Attributes framework and provide opportunities to build skills and confidence to design classroom-based practice using digital and data skills and literacies. The Award encourages a model of self-reflection as well as sharing and learning from other Edinburgh Award peers.
