Professor Judy Robertson, Chair in Digital Learning and academic director of Data Education in Schools, has been awarded the prestigious Chancellor’s Award for Teaching in recognition of the significant impact of her work on enhancing children’s education in computer science, data literacy and AI, and in engaging teachers in professional learning.

Introduced in 2003 as a research award, the Chancellor’s Awards now recognise impact in four awards categories: Teaching, Research, Rising star, Outstanding Contributions. Read more about the Chancellor’s Awards.

This year’s awards were presented by the Chancellor, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal, at a gala dinner at Holyrood Palace on the 21st January.

We would also like to congratulate the other winners of the 2025 Awards: Professor Stuart Forbes (Research Award), Dr. Sally Shaw (Rising Star Award), and Professor Michael Shipton (Outstanding Contribution).
