As part of our work for as the Digital Education and AI Literacy in Advancing Pedagogy Hub at The Centre for Teaching Excellence, we have worked with Teacher Associates across Scotland to develop research briefs designed to support teachers in their practice.
The “Introduction to AI in Schools” research brief is intended for teachers and educators. It presents definitions for key terms on artificial intelligence (AI) and discusses why AI matters for teachers. The brief gives an historical account of AI in educational settings as well as its current state in schools. It ends with presenting possible benefits and emerging concerns about using AI in schools.
