We have been happy to work with partners at Digital Skills Education to bring the free, interactive Unbelievably Creative AI Show to the Edinburgh Futures Institute.

In February 2025, we hosted six classes from Edinburgh secondary schools for a total of 140 learners. The participants were S1 to S4 Arts, Computing and ICT students from Tynecastle High School, Gorgie Mills School, Preston Lodge High School, Boroughmuir High School, Royal High School, and George Watson’s College.

Funded through the BRAID UK’s project “Towards embedding responsible AI in the school system: co-creation with young people”, Unbelievably Creative is a talent show contest where learners are asked to distinguish between human and AI-created products, such as art, design clothing, and pictures. The students are also prompted to answer questions such as “Is it ever fair to use AI to create art?”, “What are the consequences of GenAI on the work of artists?”, or “Should we always label AI content?”.

We were delighted of the success of the February run of the show, with learners initiating insightful conversations around both the benefits and the ethical implications of using GenAI in creative contexts.

Would you like to participate in future runs of the show? Subscribe to our newsletter and follow us on Bluesky and LinkedIn  to be the first to hear about any future openings.

In the meantime, Digital Skills Education are running Unbelievably Creative again as a family show at Edinburgh Science Festival. Don’t miss out!
