Data Education for Schools is partnering with CityFibre to help learners from primary 6 to S1 learn all about SmartCities.
We are looking for schools and teachers to register their interest in taking part in our SmartCities event. Your class will have a chance to learn about the city of the future;
- they will think about how we can understand our city using sensors and data
- they’ll ask how this data can help us identify problems
- they’ll be supported to develop ideas for applications or systems that use data to improve some aspect of life in their city, learning how we can use data ethically
- They’ll have a chance to attend a showcase event in Edinburgh in May to talk about their ideas and meet engineers working on Edinburgh’s Smart City program
We’ll provide you with classroom resources, teaching packs as well as support from one of our expert team. Register your interest in this exciting program by emailing us (subject ‘SmartCity‘) with name of your school, your class and contact info.
