NC Data Science Education Summit
Kate Farrell (Director of Curriculum Development and Professional Learning) and Tommy Lawson (Schools Technology Advisor) attended the NC Data Science Education Summit (24-25 October 2024) as invited speakers, nominated by Data Science 4 Everyone (DS4E), a coalition created by the University of Chicago Center for RISC. The Summit unites practitioners from higher education, K-12, industry, and nonprofits to shape data-driven education in North Carolina.

2024 Maths Week
Maths Week Scotland is a week of events and activities dedicated to the maths that is all around us, with special events throughout the year. The 2024 edition will take place Monday 23 September - Sunday 29 September around the theme "Maths Tales".
Hybrid Plug in the Numbers Interactive Lesson
On the 28th May 2024, Data Education in Schools and Digital Skills Education welcomed a class of 24 students (P7) from Newcraighill Primary School to the University of Edinburgh for the Interactive Lesson Plug in the Numbers, delivered in a hybrid format for the first time. Six primary classes from the City of Edinburgh Council, East and West Lothian and Fife local authorities registered to attend online.
