While the virus has forced us all to change our behaviour for the time being, it is also providing us with opportunities to increase the amount of online content available to support young people, their families and their teachers.

We are therefore very excited to be able to bring our planned CityFibre project online this May.  Further details will follow in due course.

Our CityFibre project will support young people to explore the City of Edinburgh using sensors and data, and use that data to identify and solve problems to improve some aspect of society.

CityFibre are working as part of the CityDeal helping build Edinburgh’s data infrastructure. Learn more about how they are supporting Data Education for Schools in this short video:

CityFibre is the UK’s third national digital infrastructure platform and is working towards  open-access full fibre infrastructure for up to 8 millions homes and businesses in the UK.  CityFibre is based in London and is jointly controlled by Antin Infrastructure Partners and West Street Infrastructure Partners.  Find out more
