30th April, 6.30-8.30pm, Moray House School of Education and Sport, St John’s Land, Holyrood Road, Edinburgh, EH8 8AQ.

Everyone’s talking about Artificial Intelligence – but how can YOU get started? How can you use AI in your classroom?

In this hands-on workshop, we’ll show you how to get started with the most useful and popular A.I. tools. This course is aimed at A.I. beginners – You don’t need to be a technical expert to take part. We’ve written our courses to be jargon-free and easy to understand.

We’ll go step-by-step through some fun and creative projects.

We’ll focus on “generative A.I.” tools – these are creative apps that can be used to create text, songs, poems, short stories, images, sounds, and music. We’ll show you practical ways to introduce these to your young people in a safe and responsible way.

You’ll learn how to help your learners create art using A.I. tools while also developing an understanding of ethical issues surrounding how these tools work, and how they could be misused.

You will:

  • Learn about the most popular and powerful generative AI apps including ChatGPT and DALL·E.
  • Get hands on and experiment.
  • Take home practical examples that you can use as part of your lessons.

These sessions are led by Digital Skills Education and Data Education in Schools.

Training is led by subject specialists with extensive experience. We’ve taught adult learners and young people across the UK, and around the world. We think the best way to bridge the digital skills gap is by making learning digital skills an engaging, fun, and social experience.
