We are now approaching the end of our second trimester as the Digital Education and AI Hub at The Centre for Teaching Excellence, during which we have reached around 250 teachers, headteachers and education practitioners across Scotland.
On the 30 April, Hub co-lead Dr Serdar Abaci delivered an introductory session to Digital Pedagogy. On the 14 and 20 May, we hosted CALL Scotland to hold webinars on the use of Assistive Technologies for ASN teaching.
On the 12 June, we co-organised with AICE.scot funder and headteacher Stuart Caddell a Symposium for senior school and education leaders on the use of AI in Scottish Schools. Over 70 delegates from as far as the Highland council joined us in person. You can read some reflections on the event here: AI in Scottish Schools: a Symposium for Senior School and Education Leaders.
We are keeping up our work with our Teacher Associates, now refining six research briefs to identify priorities and key concerns for the introduction of digital, data and literacy in schools in Scotland.
