‘Digital and Data Champions in Education’ Edinburgh Award
During the academic year 2021/22 Moray House is piloting an exciting new Edinburgh Award for students on Initial Teacher Education programmes and related MSc programmes. This award, the 'Digital and Data Champions in Education' Edinburgh Award, is designed to offer student teachers the opportunities to gain data and digital skills, literacies and pedagogies by engaging with ways to develop, try out and reflect on classroom practices that make use of digital and data approaches.
£9.5m schools project gives pupils a sense of the power of data
Last week saw the launch of our Internet of Things project which will see classroom sensors offered to all 550 schools across the South East of Scotland.

New project: British Sign Language Glossary – computing/data science
The University of Edinburgh’s Data Education in Schools team will work with the Scottish Sensory Centre’s (SSC) British Sign Language (BSL) Glossary team and the Scottish Qualifications Authority to develop glossaries for Computing Science, Data Science and Cybersecurity terms.
