Our Events for the Data Education in Schools program aims to deliver a wide range of information about data science and digital literacy to teachers. Events will take the form of seminars, live interactive lessons and professional discussions all held online.

Can technology transform teaching and learning? What is needed to use technology effectively in the classroom? In this webinar, Dr Serdar Abaci will present the evolving role of technology in education, from its historical roots to today's AI-driven landscape and evidence on its effectiveness. The session will unpack what digital pedagogy means, explore the relationship between technology and pedagogy, and models to think about teaching with technology in the classroom. Examples from both primary and secondary schools will be discussed within the Scottish educational context.
